Pachia Ammos sits on Paleochora’s west side and is the town’s main sandy beach. Its shallow water and organised facilities make it especially straightforward for families, while the promenade keeps cafés, food and the centre within easy walking distance.

Pachia Ammos is one of the easiest places in the guide: it is effectively part of town. If the west side is very windy, compare conditions with Chalikia on the east side before settling in.
